A "WELCOME HOME" VIETNAM VETERANS TRIBUTE & CONCERT
COUNTY OF ORANGE PROCLAMATION
Ten VFW Post 6024 members were present for this very special Orange County Vietnam Veterans Tribute Ceremony that was held inside of Hanger 244 at Great Park of Irvine on December 7, 2023. This event was hosted by Donald P. Wagner, Chairman, Orange County Board of Supervisors, Third District and other community leaders. Each Vietnam Veteran was presented with their own personalized, framed County of Orange Proclamation signed by Donald P. Wagner.
Shown in the photo above are (left to right) Chris Mimbs, Harry Steelman, Casey Kleindienst, Al Sterling, Robert Kakusehke, John Carson, Ned Costa, and Clark Courtney. Bill Cook and John Burick also attended this event along with nearly 100 other Vietnam Veterans.
ANGEL FORCE USA
Before the Vietnam Veterans Tribute & Concert began, Angel Force USA conducted an Action Workshop regarding the prevention of veteran suicides. The workshop was part of the STOP SUISILENCE SYMPOSIUM 2023, and featured well known Jounalists, Strategists and VSOs. The event ended with a concert performed by The Angel Force Band. OTHER HONORS
Each of the Vietnam Veterans also received a personalized CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION from the California Legislature Assembly signed by Sharon Quirk-Silva, Assemblymember, 67th District.
Also, from The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, a CERTIFICATE OF COMMENDATION In Recognition of Exemplary Patriotism in the display of The Flag of the United States of America.
